Memphis in May Triathlon winner Stephen Hackett peels out of his wet suit as he heads into the transition area for the bike leg at Edmund Orgill Park.

Pro and amateur athletes from around the nation and the world competed in the 1.5K swim, 40K bike and the 10K run event at Edmund Orgill Park in Millington, TN. The race is in a park setting within a mostly rural area of Millington. The bike course is flat and the run is moderately hilly.

In his first Memphis in May Triathlon, Australian Stephen Hackett captured the men's professional race with a time of 1:45:03.

"I hurt my back two weeks ago in a race, so I was a bit worried about that," Hackett said. "Today I really wanted to win because I kept finishing in top eight, but never getting a win. I'm happy."
